After thorough analysis of current reviews and specifications, this cooler stands out as a compelling value proposition that challenges established brands with top-tier performance at budget-friendly pricing.

Montech’s HyperFlow ARGB 360 AIO delivers exceptional cooling efficiency, preventing overheating and boosting performance. With vibrant ARGB lighting, it enhances both cooling and your PC’s look,

Overview and Design

The HyperFlow ARGB features a distinctive gemstone-inspired pump design that sets it apart from the typical circular pump blocks dominating the market. Montech’s Hyperflow ARGB features a 3100 RPM liquid pump with low noise levels.

The marketing team claims the CPU block resembles an elegant gemstone. The aesthetic appeal is enhanced by vibrant ARGB lighting that synchronizes across the pump block and fans, creating a cohesive visual experience.

Available in both 240mm and 360mm configurations, the cooler comes equipped with Montech’s Metal Pro 12 ARGB fans. These fans are the same as the ones used on its 240 mm sibling and are a bit thicker at 28 mm vs the standard 25 mm.

They also have a max RPM of 2200 alongside a max CFM of 76.2. The fans feature rubber anti-vibration pads and support daisy-chaining for simplified cable management.

Performance Analysis

Thermal Performance

The HyperFlow ARGB delivers impressive cooling performance that competes with premium alternatives.

The 360mm model of the Hyperflow ARGB did especially well when noise normalised, tied for the strongest results of the AIOs I’ve tested.

For the Hyperflow 240mm variant, the results are equally competitive. With the fans at max RPM, it manages to beat every other 240 mm AIO on the AM5 test platform and even outperforms a few 360 mm units.

When noise-limited to 45 dBA, it maintains respectable performance, though it falls about 5°C behind the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240.

Cinebench Results Put HyperFlow ARGB 360 Near the Top

In Cinebench testing, two custom benchmarks were run—one capped at four threads and another at eight—to measure performance under varying loads and to monitor thermal throttling.

On the four-thread run, the HyperFlow ARGB 360 held steady with an average of 59°C and a peak of 64°C, delivering stronger-than-expected results for a budget-friendly cooler.

CPU-Z benchmark

In the CPU-Z benchmark, which mirrors the eight-thread Cinebench load but with sustained pressure on the processor, the Montech HyperFlow ARGB 360 demonstrated strong consistency, holding an average of 69°C and a peak of 72°C—just 2°C higher than Cinebench—highlighting its stability under heavy workloads.

Noise Performance

The HyperFlow ARGB strikes a good balance between cooling performance and acoustic comfort. The pump operates quietly at its maximum 3,100 RPM, while the 28mm-thick fans provide substantial airflow without excessive noise generation.

Installation and User Experience

With the HyperFlow ARGB 360, setup is refreshingly straightforward. The fans arrive pre-installed, removing one of the more time-consuming steps.

The main preparation comes down to selecting the correct mounting bracket for your platform. In this case, installation on an AMD system required sliding the AMD bracket into position on the pump and loosely securing it with two thumb screws, allowing room to clip it onto the motherboard later.

Thermal paste is the final step before mounting. Users with a preferred compound can easily remove the pre-applied paste, but Montech simplifies the process by including it pre-applied out of the box.

Once the brackets and paste are ready, the pump block slots neatly into place and secures with two latches, tightened alternately to ensure balanced pressure across the CPU.

With the pump block secured, the next step is mounting the radiator and completing the wiring — a process kept refreshingly simple.

There’s no need for an additional ARGB hub or extra USB connectors; instead, installation comes down to plugging the PWM pump header into the CPU OPT header, connecting the fans to the CPU fan header, and attaching the ARGB cable to the motherboard’s lighting header. From there, the cooler is ready to go.

Installation proved straightforward on both AMD and Intel platforms. On AMD’s Socket AM5, the mount was quick to work with, though a four-point contact system would provide greater pressure and stability than the current design.

The ARGB Lighting

The ARGB lighting performance on the HyperFlow ARGB 360 stands out as better than average, particularly in its handling of cooler tones.

Greens and blues appear vivid and well-saturated, lending strong visual appeal. The red illumination on the pump block, however, is noticeably less intense by comparison.

Even so, overall colour distribution across both the pump block and fans is consistent, which is impressive given the relatively compact lighting zones.

During testing, there were occasional instances of flickering during rainbow transition effects. The issue was minor and infrequent, and may point more to software control than hardware limitations.

Notably, the same flicker was observed across both AMD and Intel Gigabyte motherboards, and also appeared on the cooler’s smaller 240 mm variant.

This chart shows CPU temperatures across the full TDP range, from idle to thermal throttling, giving a clear view of how a cooler handles increasing heat loads.

Final Verdict

The Montech HyperFlow ARGB represents a compelling disruption in the AIO cooling market. It successfully combines top-tier thermal performance with attractive aesthetics and budget-friendly pricing.

This includes the performance benefits seen at both maximum RPM and a noise-normalized 45 dBA, making it a high-end option for users looking to balance cooling efficiency and acoustics.”

The 360mm model particularly excels, matching the performance of much more expensive alternatives while the 240mm variant offers excellent value for mainstream builds.

For builders seeking maximum performance per dollar, the HyperFlow ARGB is difficult to ignore. The combination of competitive cooling, striking visuals, easy installation, and industry-leading warranty makes it an outstanding choice for both budget-conscious and performance-focused users.
