SOTI has rolled out a new round of updates to its SOTI ONE platform, adding expanded automation, remote troubleshooting and device management features aimed at industries that rely heavily on frontline mobile devices.
Announced in Melbourne on Wednesday, the company’s 2026.1 release focuses on reducing device downtime, simplifying shared-device workflows and improving cross-platform management for Android, Apple and Windows fleets.
The updates target sectors including retail, transport and logistics, healthcare and field services, where shared mobile hardware and remote device support have become critical operational infrastructure.
Among the biggest changes is an update to SOTI ONE Lockdown, which now allows workers to securely sign out another user directly from the device unlock screen. The company says the change is designed to reduce unnecessary restarts and minimise delays during shift changes.
SOTI ONE Drives Productivity, Troubleshooting and Automation
The latest SOTI ONE updates help organisations tackle three frontline mobility priorities: boost productivity, speed up troubleshooting and scale automation.
The company says the system is designed to reduce downtime, simplify shared-device workflows and improve consistency across large device fleets used in retail, transport and logistics, healthcare and field services.
Impact of SOTI ONE Platform Updates Across Key Industries
The newest updates deliver tangible benefits across industries where mobile devices are essential to daily operations, including retail, T&L and healthcare.
SOTI ONE Lockdown
SOTI ONE Lockdown introduces better usability and security for shared device environments.
With a new capability that allows the next user to securely log out of a previous session directly from the unlock screen, organisations can eliminate unnecessary device restarts, reduce IT support calls and keep devices in continuous use across shifts.
In addition, expanded authentication options—including PIN, NFC, or a combination of NFC and PIN—provide greater flexibility to meet diverse security requirements while ensuring fast, seamless access for frontline workers.
This simplifies shared device use across industries:
- Retail: Speeds up shift changes by allowing associates to quickly access devices without delays, while protecting POS and inventory data between users.
- Transportation & Logistics: Enables drivers and warehouse workers to securely access shared devices at the start of each shift, reducing downtime and keeping deliveries and workflows moving.
- Healthcare: Allows clinicians to quickly and securely access shared devices, minimising delays in patient care while maintaining strong data security between users.
SOTI MobiControl
SOTI MobiControl 2026.1 reduces IT effort across Android, Apple and Windows with expanded automation, real-time monitoring and stronger security.
IT teams can monitor custom Android device states and trigger automated policy actions for faster compliance and self-healing, while new Windows capabilities deliver real-time issue detection, centralised firmware and patch management, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint integration.
Apple management is also streamlined with disruption-free device migration, account-driven enrollment and SOTI VPN now extended to macOS — giving organisations consistent, cross-platform control from a single solution.
Extending the SOTI ONE Platform Beyond Device Management
Additional updates across the SOTI ONE Platform further enhance support, collaboration and operational insight.
SOTI XSight 2026.1 introduces enhanced troubleshooting and integration capabilities that empower IT teams to resolve issues faster and more efficiently.
With new public API integrations for external ITSM platforms, teams can seamlessly connect tickets to live troubleshooting sessions, leverage advanced diagnostics like Remote Control and Live Chat and automatically sync insights back to incidents.
In addition, improvements to collaboration and remote support, including file sharing, chat recording and archiving, full keyboard shortcuts and more advanced mouse and touch interactions, deliver a more intuitive and effective support experience across devices.
SOTI Snap 2026.1 enhances frontline communication and usability with new capabilities that streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
Organisations can now schedule and automate announcements to deliver messages at a specific date and time, ensuring timely reminders, event notifications and critical updates reach frontline workers exactly when needed.
In addition, SOTI MobiControl actions are now supported on every widget, enabling administrators to trigger device actions directly from the interface and tailor dashboards for faster, more intuitive workflows.
SOTI Connect 2026.1 makes it easier to see and understand device performance across distributed environments.
Computed Custom Attributes turn raw device data into clear, meaningful insights tailored to your operations, while new dashboard widgets like Compliance Tables help surface key information at a glance.
Support for Linux-based protocol adapters also expands reliable device management to Ubuntu, Debian and Raspberry Pi, ensuring consistent connectivity across all sites.
“In many organisations, mobile disruptions don’t come from one major failure – they come from small, repeat issues like misconfigured devices, stalled sessions or manual fixes that escalate into downtime and ultimately hidden costs,” said Shash Anand, SVP of Product Strategy, at SOTI.
“With the recent updates to SOTI ONE, we’re addressing those challenges at the source by automating issue detection and recovery, strengthening security across shared devices and removing friction from frontline access,”
“The result is fewer interruptions, faster resolution, greater visibility across device fleets and less reliance on IT, keeping teams productive, no matter how fast environments change,” Anand said.
