Savic Motorcycles Seeks Strategic Partners to Drive Next Phase of Global EV Growth

Savic Motorcycles has opened a strategic transaction process as the electric motorcycle maker looks to accelerate global growth after a decade of development. With C-Series bikes already on the road, Savic is seeking acquirers, investors and industrial partners for its EV technology, products and customer platform.

Ten years after setting out to prove that an Australian company could develop and commercialise a world-class electric motorcycle, Savic Motorcycles has opened a strategic transaction process to accelerate its next stage of growth.

Founded in 2016 and now headquartered in Melbourne, Savic has developed the C-Series electric motorcycle from concept through engineering, regulatory approval, production and customer delivery.

Production C-Series motorcycles are now on Australian roads.

Behind the motorcycle sits a broader Savic-developed technology and product platform spanning EV powertrain, vehicle control, software, mechanical and industrial design, display and UX, mobile applications, cloud technology and direct customer systems.

Savic is now inviting discussions with strategic acquirers, investors and industrial partners with capabilities across mobility, manufacturing, technology, supply chain and international market development.

“The first decade was about proving that an Australian company could develop, engineer and commercially deliver a high-performance EV motorcycle,” said Marc Alexander, CEO of Savic Motorcycles.

“We have done that. The opportunity now is scaling the technology, multi-model product platform, brand and commercial capability that we have built.” he said.

PRODUCTION PRODUCT WITH A BROADER PLATFORM

The C-Series is the first commercial expression of a broader EV technology and product platform developed by Savic.

Savic owns the technology developed across these systems, including its SM1 powertrain platform.

Behind the motorcycle sits Savic-developed capability across EV powertrain and vehicle control, embedded and full-stack software, cloud and mobile applications, display and customer UX, mechanical and industrial design, and the systems required to take an electric vehicle from engineering development through to production and customer use.

The platform has been developed with additional products and applications in mind. Savic’s architecture, software, controls, engineering capability and product systems can support further motorcycle models, urban mobility, utility applications and other areas of two-wheel electrification.

That capability is already proven in market through the C-Series, which has progressed through multiple generations of engineering, testing and design development, completed Australian Design Rules compliance, undergone performance and durability testing including at Phillip Island and Lang Lang, and commenced customer deliveries in 2025.

Savic has also worked with specialist partners such as Bosch Australia on elements of the production vehicle, including ABS integration.

The C-Series has received two Australian Good Design Awards and the Victorian Premier’s Design Award.

SAVIC OPENS STRATEGIC INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY

Savic’s tenth anniversary coincides with the opening of a strategic transaction opportunity designed to accelerate the company’s next stage of scale.

Savic is engaging strategic acquirers, investors and industrial partners across mobility, automotive, manufacturing, technology and adjacent sectors.

The company is open to structures including acquisition, strategic investment and industrial partnership, with particular interest in parties that can combine capital with manufacturing capability, supply-chain leverage, technology, distribution or international market access.

For a strategic party, Savic offers a faster path into electric two-wheel mobility: a production vehicle already in market, developed EV technology and IP, an experienced team, established customer and brand assets, and a platform designed to support multiple products and applications.

The next phase can accelerate priorities across:

  • production and supply-chain scale;
  • further models and applications of the Savic EV platform;
  • continued vehicle, software and energy technology development;
  • Australian engineering and product capability; and
  • international market entry.

“We have reached a point where the opportunity is much larger than one motorcycle,” Alexander said. “

“We have product in market, technology we own, an experienced team and a platform designed to support additional products and applications. The right strategic partner can help scale that capability substantially faster.” he said.

AUSTRALIAN TECHNOLOGY AT GLOBAL SCALE

Savic’s engineering, product, brand and customer operations are headquartered in Victoria, with its West Melbourne facility supporting technology development, R&D, EV motorcycle production, customer delivery, test rides and direct market engagement.

The company has established a company-owned subassembly operation in Taizhou, China, supporting SM1 powertrain parts, Australian-designed components and access to international EV component supply chains.

Savic’s operating model is designed to combine control of its high-value technology, production, product development, brand and customer relationship with specialist regional manufacturing capability where it improves cost, capacity and speed to market.

This creates a capital-efficient platform capable of supporting expansion beyond the C-Series and into additional two-wheel applications and markets.

DIRECT CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

Savic has also taken a different approach to how it takes its products to market. Rather than relying exclusively on traditional motorcycle retail channels, Savic has developed a direct-to-customer model that allows customers to engage directly with the people who designed, engineered and built their motorcycle.

This commercial model spans demand generation, test rides, vehicle configuration, sales, ownership and aftersales.

That provides direct feedback into product development, software, pricing and future models, while creating a repeatable commercial system that can be adapted across markets.

“That direct relationship is incredibly valuable for a company building a new category,” said Victoria Brown, Chief Growth Officer at Savic Motorcycles.

“Our customers spend time with the team, understand the technology and become part of the Savic story. Just as importantly, we hear directly from them about what they want next. That feedback flows straight back into the business.” said Brown

C-Series motorcycles are supported by Savic-developed software and over-the-air update capability, allowing features and vehicle functionality to continue evolving throughout ownership.

TEN YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT AND READY FOR THE NEXT PHASE

Savic began developing premium electric motorcycles before electrification had become an established strategic priority across the global automotive and motorcycle industries.

A decade later, the company has progressed from concept to commercial product, with C-Series motorcycles in customer hands, developed EV technology, an established brand, direct customer capability, Australian production and a capital-efficient network.

Savic has also contributed to Australia’s emerging electric mobility ecosystem, including a partnership with Kangan Institute on an Australian-first pilot programme for electric motorcycle servicing and technician training.

The company has previously received Victorian Government support to develop Savvy Rider, a motorcycle safety application designed to provide riders with movement data and training insights, while members of the Savic engineering team have also received industry recognition including Young Engineer of the Year honours.

“Savic has always had a very Australian character,” Alexander said.

“There is a determination here to take an ambitious idea, engineer it properly, survive the difficult parts and keep building. We backed electric ten years ago. We now have the opportunity to take what we have built to a much larger market.” he said.
