Surgical House and Health Food Symmetry signed a landmark national distribution agreement to distribute Kfibre™ across Australia’s health, aged care and disability sectors.

Manufactured by Health Food Symmetry, a provider of high-level science supported nutraceuticals including its world first sugar reduced, whole plant Virgin Sugarcane Fibre, Kfibre™ is Australia’s only natural sugarcane-derived whole-plant prebiotic fibre.

Unlike synthetic or isolated fibre products, Kfibre™ retains the complete benefits of the sugarcane plant’s phytonutrients, promoting gentle fermentation and consistent digestive tolerance.  It is highly regarded for its ability to support microbiome balance, digestive comfort and blood-glucose maintenance.

Health Food Symmetry continues to demonstrate extraordinary leadership in the food and wellness tech and manufacturing sectors, delivering cutting edge products that are helping to shape and influence improved health outcomes across the globe.

“Kfibre™ is the ideal dietary solution because it is a tasteless, plant-based fibre supplement that can be used to easily boost the fibre content of many foods and beverages, such as yogurts, soups, casseroles and baked goods,” Health Food Symmetry founder and CEO, Gordon Edwards said.

“We are excited to announce the new partnership with Surgical House because it will make natural, science-backed gut health solutions more accessible across the healthcare sector.

“This will enable us to reach the people who need Kfibre™ the most, patients, residents and clients managing complex health conditions.  Critically, it will also provide clinicians and carers with a simple, versatile tool for improving digestive comfort and nutritional wellbeing.”

The groundbreaking partnership will enable healthcare providers nationwide to integrate evidence-based prebiotic nutrition into care programs.

By addressing the dietary causes of constipation and other digestive issues, the initiative supports a preventative, food-based approach to gut health that complements clinical care.

“This partnership aligns with our mission to provide healthcare professionals and clients with high-quality, practical nutrition solutions that improve health outcomes,” Surgical House, Managing Director, Murray Konarik said.

Surgical House, a leading Australian healthcare supplier with more than 40 years of experience supporting hospitals, aged-care facilities and NDIS providers.

Under the agreement, Surgical House will distribute Kfibre™ across its national healthcare network, making clinically supported gut-health solutions more accessible to hospitals, aged-care services, disability providers and home-care clients.

The collaboration aims to improve nutritional outcomes and patient wellbeing, addressing common digestive challenges such as constipation, irregularity and discomfort in vulnerable populations.

“The distribution of Kfibre™ nationally will provide Australia with a new standard for gut health in clinical and community care,” Edwards added.

“Clinically validated research demonstrates that Kfibre™ supports microbiome diversity, enhances the growth of beneficial bacteria, maintains healthy blood-glucose levels, promotes bowel regularity and assists overall digestive comfort, all without causing excessive gas or bloating.

“As a result of this partnership, Surgical House will provide dietitians, nurses, carers and aged-care professionals with a versatile, easy-to-use solution to address the common fibre gap in patient diets.

“Kfibre™ can be seamlessly added to food or beverages without affecting taste or texture, making it ideal for clinical and community care environments.”

Health Food Symmetry™ began its journey in March 2020, with a goal to manufacture a new option of dietary fibre for the food industry from sugarcane.

Surgical House is a trusted Australian healthcare supplier providing medical, surgical and nutrition products to hospitals, aged-care facilities and disability sectors nationwide.
