Yesterday, and throughout the day today an unknown percentage of LinkedIn users and recruiters reported their accounts had been restricted.

Past comments revile users believe the social media giant are once again on a mass restriction spree. Although, this affecting legitimate accounts.

Users tweeted they were unable to login to their accounts to contact support and were left in the dark for hours.

If you use LinkedIn for lead generation, you can’t afford a LinkedIn account restriction as it drastically reduces your social selling efforts.

This has created chaos around the world – “I have been on Linkedin since 2008 never had a restriction on my account” HR Solutions Consultant. Con Sotidis said.

In response LinkedIn tweeted.

Our teams are working quickly to fix a technical issue on our end. We’re sorry for the disruption, and we’ll keep you posted as soon as this is resolved. Thanks for your patience.

My recruiter account is also suspended. I have been waiting since last two weeks. Disappointed
