Australia’s IT leaders are being invited to Sydney this month for Synology Insight Symposium 2026: Own Your Stack, Own Your Future, as businesses confront the practical reality of preparing their data systems for wider AI adoption.
The inaugural event will be held on 17 September at Shangri-La Sydney and will bring together IT professionals, C-level executives and decision-makers to discuss how organisations can manage, protect and make better use of increasingly valuable enterprise data.
While AI adoption is gathering pace across Australian workplaces, many organisations are still dealing with fragmented data, uncertain infrastructure choices and growing security pressure.
Synology says the symposium will focus on the data foundations businesses need before AI can be deployed reliably at scale.
“Through our work with customers and partners across Australia, we’ve seen tremendous enthusiasm around AI, but also a growing gap between the pace of adoption and the data foundations needed to support it,” said Joanne Weng, Director of International Business at Synology.
“With Synology Insight Symposium, we want to create a platform for industry leaders and peers to openly discuss these shared challenges and exchange practical strategies they can take back to their organisations, helping Australian businesses build a stronger data foundation for what comes next.”
Weng will deliver the opening remarks, followed by a strategic keynote from Jacqueline Graciella, Country Manager in ANZ Region at Synology.
The program will also include perspectives from Nate Cochrane, Editor in Chief at Pixntx, and Johan Sulaiman, Chief Technology Officer at Heart Research Institute, with further panellists still to be announced.
The discussion will centre on three issues increasingly shaping enterprise AI plans: making fragmented business data ready for AI, deciding where data and AI workloads should sit, and strengthening resilience against cyber attacks and operational disruption.
Together, the sessions will examine how businesses can build a more connected, sovereign and resilient data environment as their AI strategies develop.
