Symbio Holdings Limited, a leading software company specialising in voice communications, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Omeros as its new Chief Executive Officer. Omeros’ appointment to this role marks an exciting chapter for Symbio, as it joins the Aussie Broadband Group (ASX:ABB) and continues its journey toward further growth and innovation in the telecommunications sector.

Omeros brings a wealth of industry experience and a proven track record of success, positioning him to lead Symbio into its next phase. With an extensive background in the voice industry and as an Executive Director at the Aussie Broadband Group, Omeros is poised to leverage his expertise to further enhance Symbio’s presence in the market.

As a co-founder and former Managing Director of Over the Wire Holdings Limited, prior to its acquisition by Aussie Broadband Group, Omeros has over two decades of experience in the telecommunications and IT services sectors. Through his tenure, he has cultivated a deep understanding of wholesale voice  and driving strategic growth initiatives.

Commenting on his appointment, Omeros stated, “I am excited to join the Symbio family as CEO and lead this exceptional team into the next phase of our journey. Together, we will build upon the strong foundations we have and continue to innovate, grow, and exceed expectations, to solidify Symbio’s position as a leader in the telecommunications industry.”

The appointment of Michael Omeros as CEO underscores Symbio’s commitment to executing its strategic vision and achieving its FY24 objectives, while sustaining growth in the APAC region. The company is focused on maintaining business as usual, prioritising the delivery of top-tier products and services to its customers.

Symbio joining the Aussie Broadband Group brings together two successful Australian born businesses committed to changing the game within the telco market. This union will create a larger company with an expanded portfolio of products and services, encompassing data, voice, and messaging solutions.

Symbio’s co-founder and previous CEO Rene Sugo will continue in an advisory role to facilitate the transition until June 2024. Symbio’s Executive team and staff will remain in place and continue changing the way the world communicates.
