The combined print management solution effectively handles label creation, printer update distribution, and deploys essential hardware and software updates on TSC Auto ID printers using SOTI Connect – all while ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Strong Partnership for Seamless Printer Ecosystem

By combining intelligent remote management, robust hardware solutions and compliance-ready label software, the trio of partners offers a holistic printer ecosystem that meets the demands of modern supply chains.

According to SOTI’s study “The Road Ahead: Driving Digital Transformation in T&L” 98% of Australian T&L workers use mobile printers in their current role.

Globally, nearly all participants (98%) connect one or more mobile devices to such printers and often encounter technical issues.

These issues result in an average of 16 hours of downtime per employee each month due to technical difficulties or device and network failures, causing significant delivery delays and additional stress for 41% of surveyed Australian T&L employees.

Particularly for T&L and the retail sector, intelligent digital printers are indispensable tools for ensuring efficient and transparent supply chains. They facilitate the traceability of goods through precise labelling, barcode scanning and RFID tracking, all while meeting existing compliance requirements.

To maximise support for businesses in this sector, SOTI, printer manufacturer TSC Auto ID and label software specialist BarTender by Seagull have forged a collaborative solution partnership.

SOTI Connect Enables Comprehensive Remote Management for Maximum Printer Efficiency

SOTI Connect streamlines remote printer management by enabling effortless distribution and installation of firmware, Wi-Fi certificates and app updates.

For instance, maintenance updates and new TSC Auto ID features integrate seamlessly, ensuring that devices operate at peak functionality without any manual intervention.

This remote capability not only saves time but also maximises productivity by allowing IT administrators to set automated rules for alerts and actions, proactively preventing unexpected print failures and interruptions.

The platform’s ability to remotely configure printer settings also guarantees consistent print quality, regardless of location.

\Mission-critical and unattended printers benefit from real-time access to essential endpoints, which facilitates immediate issue resolution and reduces the need for costly maintenance.

Additionally, by monitoring key operational metrics such as battery status and operating temperature, SOTI Connect provides valuable insights that help fine-tune configurations and ensure reliable printing operations.

“Effective printing processes and dependable device management are critical for smooth operations in today’s complex supply chains, particularly for businesses in the T&L and retail sectors,” said Michael Dyson, VP of Sales, APAC at SOTI,”

“We are excited to announce our collaborative solution partnership with TSC Auto ID and BarTender by Seagull,”

“By integrating SOTI Connect with TSC Auto ID’s robust printing capabilities and BarTender’s advanced label software, our comprehensive solution significantly boosts productivity, minimises downtime and enhances overall efficiency.”

TSC Auto ID Offers Flexible RFID Printers for Various Business Needs

TSC Auto ID stands as one of the fastest-growing companies in the automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) sector worldwide, making it the ideal hardware partner for SOTI in printer management.

Its award-winning RFID printers are celebrated for their flexibility and durability, managing all RFID label types under a single agreement and eliminating the need for multiple devices.

The robust metal construction of TSC Auto ID printers ensures they perform reliably even in the most demanding production environments, serving as a central hub for all RFID label applications regardless of material type.

Real-Time Intelligent Labels: BarTender Revolutionises Compliance-Ready Print Solutions

BarTender’s software solutions complement the partnership with a comprehensive labelling system. Their intelligent design offers automatic, compliant updates and scalable solutions for various requirements.

Pre-built industry templates deliver ready-to-use, compliant labels, facilitating regulatory compliance for businesses.

Partnering with SOTI Connect ensures these label updates are pushed onto mobile printers in real time to maximise efficiency. The integration ensures that TSC Auto ID printers operate with current templates, minimising compliance risks.

The importance of handling customer data sensitively is underscored by findings from SOTI’s recent retail report “The Rise of Social Commerce: Turning Tech-Driven Browsers into Influenced Buyers,” where 83% of consumers in Australia (82% globally) expressed concerns about entering personal data online or in-store. T

hese figures highlight the high relevance of secure, well-managed device systems across the entire supply chain.

“Combined with SOTI Connect, we ensure real-time updates reliably reach all TSC Auto ID printers in the field, whether in warehouses or delivery vehicles.

“This seamless integration not only enhances efficiency gains but also supports our joint sustainability goals by optimising processes and reducing misprints,” said Eric Chiu, Sales Director APAC at BarTender by Seagull.
