Safe Treatment Against Attention Issues And Cognitive Impairment – Tali Health

There are an alarming number of children globally that suffer from severe attention difficulties, with as many as 40% of children displaying concerning attention issues by age 4

Despite this dramatically concerning statistic, what’s most alarming is that this only accounts for the smallest percentage of children to whom have been diagnosed with some form of attention deficit.

The hard truth is that most children simply fly under the radar. Too young to be formally assessed, with no key treatments for those aged 4-8 years old.

Good attention is fundamental to many aspects of life. It’s necessary to learn, work and socialise. However, attention training and support is often overlooked during those critical developmental stages in a young child’s brain.

Ensuring that children are able to deal with issues such as being easily distracted, fidgeting too much, shifting between tasks, or suffering from constant behavioural outbursts, ensures they can happily pursue their goals unimpeded by impaired cognitive ability.

TALi Health is a pioneering Australian therapeutic technology company founded on 25 years of research in developmental psychology and TALi is quickly changing the world! While the boldness of that statement might seem excessive, we believe it’s accurate.

You see, TALi has developed a game-like app that can diagnose (TALi DETECT), and train (TALi TRAIN), young children with attention difficulties.

Using fun and engaging activities that a child can play on a tablet, TALi DETECT provides Health Care Professionals and Occupational Therapists with the ability to place the video game in front of high risk children for an assessment. TALi DETECT will then produce a detailed cognitive report outlining performance-based results.

Clinically relevant data visualisations allow practitioners to include TALi DETECT assessments in case conceptualisations for their own reporting or for followup sessions.

Then, the clinically validated, non-invasive, digital training program (TALi TRAIN) will treat cognitive impairment and enhance cognitive function through a series of 5 week training sessions. Empowering children to live more confidently.

TALi is led by CEO and CMO Dr. Mary Beth Brinson, who holds multiple degrees including a Doctorate in Audiology, a Masters in Business Administration, and a Bachelors in Audiology and Speech Pathology.

Dr. Mary Beth has held a number of senior roles during her 16-year career with industry-leading medical devices company Cochlear, and is now using her expertise to innovate with the first-to-market, evidence-based digital platform that assesses, measures and strengthens attention in children through the TALi apps.

“Attention issues are becoming increasingly common in early childhood. By the age of 4, as many as 40% of children have concerning attention issues.” explained Dr. Mary Beth.

“TALi’s digital products are designed to support children aged 4-8 to strengthen their executive, selective and sustained attention skills. By honing these skills at the peak of a child’s development, they will see more positive outcomes such as academic success and employability later in life.”

With the goal of supporting and improving the cognitive performance of one million children around the world, TALi are fighting back against attention issues and behavioural outbursts through the use of the interactive TALi apps.

Parents now have access to effective, safe, drug-free tools that their children can actually have fun engaging with, while strengthening their cognitive abilities from the comfort of their home.

In Australia, the TALi services can be accessed by parents through Healthcare Partners such as Occupational Therapists. “Our programs are complementary to existing diagnosis and therapy, placing TALi at the forefront of early intervention for attention-related conditions,” noted Dr Mary Beth.

Connect with Dr. Mary Beth Brinson and her team of specialists at TALi Health through their website, or their LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube social media pages to learn more about how you can help give children the best shot at happy, healthy lives.
