Pro-Biden super PAC launches six-figure paid influencer program

The programs goal is to reach voters through typically nonpolitical channels and voices

Democratic super PAC American Bridge is heading into the 2022 midterms with an eight-figure paid media plan that includes heavy investments in podcasts and influencer media to support President Joe Biden’s economic agenda.

The pro-Biden super PAC has a long and successful history of campaigning for Biden, and its primary work has benefited research that the Lincoln Project conducted aiming to prevent the re-election of Donald Trump

American Bridge’s six-figure influencer program runs paid digital ads behind the content it has worked to create with creators on platforms like TikTok and Instagram and is part of the PAC’s total media investment.

Most of these influencers have 20,000 to 100,000 followers — making them micro-influencers — and have been increasingly called upon by Republican and Democratic campaigns and non-profits over the past few years. Creators tout strong followings in hotbed states like Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania, U.S. Bridge told edge.

The goal of the program is to reach voters through typical apolitical channels and voices said an American Bridge spokesmen.

For example, musician Logan Alexandra wrote a song describing what Bridge said were the Biden administration’s accomplishments over the last few years.

Another creator, Bethany Dani, plans to release a tutorial on the topic of how to make masks, while explaining how the U.S. Relief Program is helping women throughout the pandemic, the spokesperson said.

American Bridge’s political director Alison Marcus believes the plan will help Democrats mobilize female voters in the midterm elections. “Women voters are the key to democratic victories in the Trump era and to electing President Biden,” Marcus told Reuters edge

“We want to make sure these women will continue to hear positive messages about what the president and his administration are accomplishing, and they will vote Democrats in the midterms.”

Allyson Marcus, American Bridge’s political director, believes the program will help Democrats mobilize women voters in the midterm elections. “Women Voters were the key to democratic victories through the Trump-era, and to electing President Biden,” said Marcus.

During the 2016 presidential election, the gender gap among voters was much narrower than it was in 2020, according to a recent study by the Pew Research Center. While men’s support for Biden increased over Hillary Clinton during the last election, women’s support for former President Donald rose Trump by about 5 percent, the study says.

When Marcus was asked what makes a paid influencer campaign like American Bridge a success he said we’re looking at engagement, stats, and benchmarks like that.

“We’re looking at what the reviews say. Most importantly, I I think what makes our project unique is the very strong relationships we have with these creators.” said Marcus

Last Month American Bridge 21st Century was out with a $5 million ad buy in battleground states to boost President Joe Biden as the 2022 midterms kick off.
