Founded in 2014, Novon (previously Xpert Consulting) provides specialist advisory and professional services supporting the delivery of leading-edge data solutions,

The business has a key focus and expertise in data management, data governance, engineering, integration, insights, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Now boasting a team of more than 100 consultants nationwide, Novon’s growth, supported by a series of key strategic hires over the past 18 months, now positions the company to compete at the top tier of data consulting in the region.

Through an end-to-end approach spanning advisory and discovery through to the design and build of complex data ecosystems, Novon supports some of Australia’s most iconic brands including ASX-listed enterprises and leading SMEs across banking, aviation, utilities, logistics, government, and media.

Dominic Dufaur, Founder and Group CEO of Novon, said, “To say we are excited about this announcement is an understatement,”

“The acquisition and integration of Technology People’s phenomenal team will not only enhance what we can now do as a business but how we do it; unlocking new opportunities for our clients and truly expanding the opportunities we can offer our growing team,” Novon said

“Novon is a brand synonymous with data. Data and engineering capability is our DNA. As demand for complex, high-impact data-driven solutions accelerates, we’re not here to simply compete,”

“We’re here to lead. And our focus heading into 2026 is clear: to scale, deliver for, and partner with customers ready to get–and stay–ahead of the curve.” he said.

Operating under the Novon marque, Novon on Demand will serve as a critical extension of Novon’s core data and engineering services, addressing the growing market demand for more advanced, nuanced capability solutions amidst sustained investment in and demand for data and cloud technologies and the adoption of AI.

Chris Spring, Novon’s CTO said, “As we navigate the next iteration of automation, with the evolution of AI, advanced engineering, and modern integration techniques, we are on the precipice of a complete revolution within our industry that will drive huge demand for enterprise customers,”

“While Novon has historically operated as a boutique data consultancy, scaling our service offering enables us to compete with the Big Four,”

“The acquisition of Technology People, which attracts the best talent nationally, means we are now equipped to build teams at scale and support customers on this unique journey.” said Novon

Founded in 2011, Technology People has spent 14 years at the forefront of some of the region’s most significant digital and data transformation programs.

It has successfully placed over 2,000 specialist technology resources during this time alongside some of Australia’s fastest-growing startups to ASX-listed companies including QANTAS, Macquarie Group, ASX, Rest.

Joanne Maggs, Managing Director, Technology People said, “Novon on Demand represents our ambition to create a suite of services that not only reflects our deep domain expertise, but which actively challenges the status quo,”

“For Technology People customers, the move is a win-win. The trusted talent solutions they know they can rely on are now supercharged by Novon’s specialist capabilities and regional scale. It’s an exhilarating next chapter.”

The rebrand to Novon on Demand is effective 1 July 2025.
