The new partnership comprises three key elements: Lendlease transitioning its existing mobile and data services to Optus; Optus partnering with Lendlease to roll out its cutting-edge property insights tool, Podium Property Insights (PPI), starting with Optus’ new state-of-the-art Adelaide office; and Lendlease and Optus jointly exploring other opportunities for collaboration

The partnership will also strengthen the already robust bond between Lendlease and Optus’ parent company, following Singtel’s announcement in 2022 of their collaboration with Lendlease.

The objective was to transform Singtel’s Singapore headquarters into a state-of-the-art sustainable workplace worth $3 billion, incorporating cutting-edge smart building and digital technologies.

Bill Ruh, CEO, Lendlease Digital says the strategic partnership between Lendlease and Optus will create value for both our people, and those who live, work and play in our precincts.

“The collaboration supports our vision to be a digitally led company, delivering on a mobile first approach for our people who’ll benefit from the new Optus infrastructure,”

“As the partnership progresses, Optus will utilise our PPI platform to help more effectively optimise its office space,” said Ruh,

The partnership’s first element will see Lendlease transition existing mobile and data services to the Optus network, as well as transforming management of mobile and mobile broadband services through a single platform with improved insights and asset management.

This will include the commencement of approximately 3,000 services in 80 locations across Australia where Lendlease operates.

Stuart Pritchard, Vice President of Enterprise and Government at Optus said, “Optus is thrilled to partner with Lendlease to deliver a seamless mobile first experience here in Australia,”

“Together, we recognise the value this partnership will deliver for both the Lendlease team as well as the millions of Australians using Lendlease delivered projects every day,”

“Optus’ reliable and trusted network will enable Lendlease to collaborate and monitor data in real-time, enabling efficient decision-making and streamlined project management.

“Our deep expertise in networking and data will support Lendlease’ to leverage the benefits of emerging technology,” said Pritchard

By leveraging Optus’ distinctive array of tools and automation capabilities in mobile and device lifecycle management, the partnership will enhance team productivity and achieve improved asset retention and substantial management efficiencies.

The second element of the collaboration involves a joint effort between Lendlease and Optus to develop solutions that capitalise on Lendlease’s PPI platform.

The initial deployment will take place at Optus’ new Adelaide office. The PPI platform serves as a comprehensive solution for gathering and analysing data related to building occupancy, attendance, and operations.

Lendlease and Optus will collaborate on future opportunities including Wi-Fi, integrated networks and IoT managed services.
