Google has begun rolling out a new experimental feature designed to provide website owners with actionable recommendations to boost their site’s performance on Google Search.

The new feature, known as “Search Console Recommendations”, aims to offer insights and optimisation tips based on data collected through the platform.

According to Google, Search Console Recommendations is a tool that identifies opportunities for website improvement and suggests specific actions to enhance visibility and ranking on Google Search.

“This feature delivers targeted advice on optimising indexing, crawling, and serving, making it easier for users to leverage the data already available in Search Console,” Google explained.

The recommendations provided will be updated regularly and may evolve or expire over time. Users will only see recommendations if there are actionable insights available. If no recommendations are relevant, the system will indicate that no current suggestions are provided.

Recommendations are drawn from a range of Google Search systems data, including indexing, crawling, and serving metrics.

While the data was previously accessible through Google Search Console, the new feature aims to enhance usability by offering direct, actionable recommendations.

New suggestions could help to prioritise search optimization efforts, such as implementing structured data for better content understanding, adding sitemaps, and reviewing trending queries and pages.

Recommendations are updated regularly and may change or expire over time. Users will find these insights on the Search Console overview page.

Not Currently Avaliablle To All Websites

As this is an experimental feature, not all websites will receive recommendations initially. The rollout will occur gradually over the coming months, and even after full deployment, recommendations will only be provided when applicable to a customers website.

Google says it hopes to adjust and expand the recommendations over time and they are always working to improve their tools and features.
