According to Gartner’s recently published “2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions” report, Commvault, a cloud data management company, has been ranked as a “Leader.”

Gartner evaluates vendors based on a number of variables, including vision and execution.

Enterprises’ IT divisions are overwhelmed by ransomware attacks, rising security issues, data proliferation, and resource constraints, so they require tools that protect them from these issues in addition to identifying them before they occur.

As a result, customers are turning to Commvault to defend against ransomware threats by replacing their multilevel products with Commvault’s integrated software and SaaS solution for air-gapped ransomware protection.

Additionally, Commvault recently introduced Threatwise™, a comprehensive ransomware protection solution that provides customers with proactive and reactive ransomware protection capabilities.

According to Rangaraaj Rajagopalan, Vice President of Products at Commvault, CIOs are increasingly concerned with safeguarding their organisations’ data as hybrid solutions become more popular.”

“This is why Commvault is helping organisations consolidate their data management, simplify it, and reduce their IT spend.”

We’re protecting their data. It’s our job to manage every aspect of their data. We’re able to do this now, and we’re recognised as a leader by Gartner because of it.” says Rajagopalan

Furthermore, Commvault is working with a diverse ecosystem of partners to produce cutting-edge hybrid cloud solutions that will fundamentally alter the way customers use the cloud. Recently, Commvault teamed up with Oracle to offer Metallic Data Management as a Service (DMaaS) on Oracle Cloud.

As part of Commvault’s multi-cloud approach, Metallic’s leading services will soon be accessible via Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in all OCI regions around the globe.
