Leveraging embedded scientific and clinical expertise, and backed by a world-class clinical trial ecosystem, VVMF will lead the design, development, and manufacturing of viral vectors — critical components used in many cell and gene therapies for cancer and rare diseases.

VVMF has partnered with SYSPRO to implement its Cloud ERP system, which includes the following modules: embedded analytics, financials, manufacturing and distribution, lot traceability, quality management and materials requirements planning.

Located in Sydney’s Westmead Health and Innovation precinct (VVMF) is an Australian Contract Development Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) dedicated to providing services in the research, design, development, and manufacture of viral vectors for advanced therapeutic applications.

Daniel Clampett, Chief Operating Officer at VVMF said, “We selected SYSPRO as a partner to deliver its Cloud ERP system, which is specifically designed for manufacturers and distributors, due to the company’s extensive experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.,”

“The quality management and lot traceability capabilities of SYSPRO ERP will ensure compliance with stringent regulatory standards set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration and global health authorities,” he said.

SYSPRO’s accurate lot traceability capabilities will enable VVMF to manage the end-to-end tracking of raw materials, components and finished viral vectors, which is essential for maintaining product integrity, facilitating rapid recalls if necessary and ensuring patient safety.

James Robinson, Head of Services for Asia Pacific at SYSPRO. said, “For a startup like VVMF, integrating quality management and lot traceability capabilities early not only builds a strong foundation of trust with regulatory bodies but also streamlines operations, reduces risk and supports its scalable growth,”

“We are thrilled to partner with Viral Vector Manufacturing Facility to facilitate its transition to commercial-scale manufacturing of high-quality viral vectors,” Robinson said

“SYSPRO Cloud ERP will act as VVMF’s backbone to maintain quality, consistency and data integrity across all its manufacturing processes, which are key pillars for long-term success in the highly regulated biopharmaceutical sector,” he said.

SYSPRO has been specialising in key manufacturing and distribution industries for over 40 years with a team of specialists continuing to address unique industry needs.
