This funding will propel EnyGy’s plans to expand its graphene materials  production facility, further positioning Melbourne as a hub for advanced materials innovation.

The funding will enable EnyGy to invest in state-of-the-art equipment critical to the graphene  production process.

The enhancements are pivotal in scaling up manufacturing capacity to meet  the growing demand for EnyGy’s proprietary graphene electrode films, which are used in  ultracapacitors for high-performance energy storage applications.

“This funding is transformative for EnyGy’s journey. It underscores the Victorian Government’s  commitment to advancing manufacturing excellence in the state, said EnyGy CEO Mr. Wiehann de  Klerk.

“With this support, we are scaling up graphene materials production right here in Melbourne, investing  in advanced manufacturing technology to meet increasing global demand.”

Graphene is central to ultracapacitor performance, enabling rapid energy storage and discharge,  increases in energy storage capacity, all while maintaining long operational life.

“By expanding our production capabilities, we’re not just meeting current demand, we’re setting the  stage for future breakthroughs in energy storage technology,” said EnyGy’s CTO, Dr. Yufei Wang.

Building Victoria’s Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem:

EnyGy specialises in graphene electrode films, a key component in ultracapacitors that deliver high  energy density, rapid charge/discharge cycles, and exceptional durability.

Ultracapacitors are  increasingly used in diverse applications, including industrial systems, IoT devices, smart grids, data  storage, and large-scale grid and industrial solutions.

EnyGy’s expansion in Melbourne will boost local manufacturing, retain skilled jobs, and enhance  Australia’s ability to supply cutting-edge technology components to global markets.

The Made in Victoria Energy Technologies Manufacturing program plays a vital role in fostering local  manufacturing capabilities and advancing critical supply chains.

By supporting EnyGy’s expansion,  this funding contributes to the development of sovereign manufacturing capabilities in advanced  materials, reducing reliance on imports and strengthening Victoria’s position as a leader in innovation.

This comprehensive upgrade ensures that EnyGy is well-equipped to scale production and deliver  consistent, high-quality graphene materials to its partners and customers.

By combining world-class  technology with local manufacturing expertise, EnyGy is proud to contribute to the advancement of  Victoria’s advanced manufacturing sector.
