Ricoh, a leading provider of smart workplace technology, has announced the launch of its new IM C7010 and IM C8010 Series A3 multifunction printers (MFPs), designed to serve as the heart of the modern workplace.

Built to handle demanding workloads, the IM C7010 and IM C8010 further expand Ricoh’s intelligent MFP range, empowering businesses to transform their in-house printing capabilities with smart and sustainable solutions. They deliver clear improvements in productivity, usability, and sustainability.

“We’ve seen a trend towards the high-volume segment in recent years,” says Sul Koralege, Product Manager, Ricoh Australia.

“More businesses are now looking for a centralised colour MFP that can consolidate several smaller desktop printers and larger black-and-white devices with a single powerhouse all-in-one device.

“That demand for high-volume, space-efficient solutions is exactly what the IM C7010 and IM C8010 were designed to meet.” Koralege said.

Building on the success of the award-winning IM C10 series launched in 2023, Ricoh has expanded the line with the new IM C7010.

Delivering speeds of up to 70ppm, the device retains the series’ intuitive design, advanced security, and cloud-based print management, while introducing a notable new feature.

Unlike the IM C6010, the IM C7010 can staple documents without the need for an external finisher—a first in this high-speed segment—allowing businesses to save valuable floorspace while still producing professional-quality documents.

While the IM C7010 is Ricoh’s first office-style 70ppm A3 colour MFP, the IM C8010 sits at the top of Ricoh’s office lineup, delivering 80ppm speed and introducing new advancements in document finishing and sustainable design.

The IM C8010 underscores Ricoh’s commitment to sustainable product design, setting a new benchmark for environmental performance.

The device incorporates 33% post-consumer recycled plastic and 32% recycled steel, along with other enhancements designed to help businesses advance their ESG goals.

“These new MFPs form an essential part of Ricoh’s evolving workplace technology portfolio and reinforce our commitment to delivering advanced solutions that help customers digitise and streamline their operations,” says Koralege.

“Both models introduce innovative new hardware and unique finishing capabilities, along with secure access to cloud services and digital workflows—enabling users to work more efficiently and seamlessly in a connected world”

These robust devices are ideal for enterprise environments, in-plant print rooms, and managed print services where productivity and reliability are critical.

Both MFPs provide print, copy, scan, and optional fax functions, and deliver outstanding colour prints, supporting resolutions of up to 2,400 x 4,800 dpi.

Key features include:

Smart, Intuitive Interface: Features Ricoh’s new third-generation 10.1” Smart Operation Panel with capacitive touchscreen, improved processing power, and Android OS—ensuring a consistent, familiar, user-friendly experience across Ricoh devices.

Productivity: The new Single Pass Document Feeder (SPDF) offers industry-leading duplex scanning speeds of up to 300 impressions per minute at 200/300 dpi.

On the IM C8010, the SPDF has a new automatic paper skew correction feature and AI-powered paper orientation detection for an enhanced end-user experience.

Future-Proofed with RICOH Always Current Technology: Device security is a top priority for Ricoh. RICOH’s Always Current Technology platform gives customers the latest security standards from the moment they receive it until the device is ready to be recycled.

The step up to Android OS 10 means an even further hardened device against threats whilst WPA3 authentication provides the best Wi-Fi security. With the latest TPM 2.0 built-in hardware-based security module, businesses can work with confidence from anywhere at any time.

Sustainable by Design: True to Ricoh’s sustainability commitments, the IM C7010 has been engineered for energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact.

It features an impressive 50% post-consumer recycled plastics ratio, environmentally friendly product packaging, industry low Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) value, and low power consumption in Energy Saver Mode. The IM C8010 further raises the bar in sustainable product design.

It is assembled using 100% renewable energy and improves power efficiency, including a 37% reduction in Energy Saver Mode. It also achieves a 5% reduction in overall carbon footprint and holds both Energy Star® certification and EPEAT® Gold rating.

Seamless Integration with Digital Workflows: RICOH Smart Integration allows devices to be customised with cloud-based apps and workflow solutions, helping businesses streamline operations and reduce manual processes.

Both models support Microsoft’s latest Modern Authentication (OAuth 2.0) framework, free Scan to Cloud application, and compatibility with Ricoh Smart Integration suite and CloudStream platform.

According to Koralege the new A3 MFPs offers exceptional performance, advanced security, and cloud-based capabilities to support digital-first work environments where high volume and high print speed are key requirements in today’s Australian enterprises.

Headquartered in Tokyo, Ricoh operates in around 200 countries and regions, backed by 85 years of expertise. For the year ending March 2025, the Group reported sales of ¥2,527 billion (approx. USD 16.8 billion).
