RaganSkin.com Re-Launches With New AI Functionality

RaganSkin Founder Isabella Loneragan remains steadfast in her belief that human expertise remains the cornerstone of her small business's success, emphasising it's still superior to artificial intelligence (AI).

There is no shortage of skincare brands using artificial intelligence (AI) to supercharge their competitiveness and better-engage today’s digitally savvy consumer market. However, Australian brand Ragan Skin has upped the ante by capitalising on the credentials of its founder, Isabella Loneragan, who has customised the re-launched Ragan Skin site’s AI offering in keeping with her earned reputation as one of the industry’s most knowledgeable and trusted skincare experts.

“The new RaganSkin.com isn’t like other sites that offer aesthetics-based AI tools because frankly, I don’t believe the typical offering is good enough,” explains Isabella Loneragan, an award-winning product formulator and internationally recognised skin therapist with almost two decades of experience working in dermatology and cosmeceuticals.

“The global skincare market is in the midst of a spectacular revolution – and I love it – but the reality is that AI cannot replicate the lived-experience and expertise of a human professional,,”

“It’s for this reason that I have made it a key part of my business strategy to be extremely selective in the AI we’ve implemented on RaganSkin.com and moreover, how my customers are guided to fully benefit from the technology,,” adds Isabella.

“I’d never put my name to something I don’t wholeheartedly believe in; and it’s only after dedicating scrupulous attention to the diagnostic quality of our featured AI technology, along with the efficiency of the skincare regimens curated by me and recommended through the technology, that the new RaganSkin.com has come to life,” she said

Officially launched this month (February 2024), the upgraded Ragan Skin website now features AI Skin Diagnostic Technology for real-time, clinic-grade assessments of skin barrier health within three-minutes per user. Thereafter, each user is guided to a personalised skincare regime carefully crafted by Isabella Loneragan.

Incorporating the technology of Haut.AI – a world-class research and development company specialising in next-generation AI for skincare – the AI diagnostic tool featured on RaganSkin.com includes tweaks to its original functionality, as directed by Isabella Loneragan.

“The AI we’ve launched on RaganSkin.com takes into account the current limitations of AI technology. It isn’t just a means to lead people to purchase points, as so many other AI ecommerce business offerings are – because my dedication extends beyond just providing solutions. I aim to deepen the understanding of skin health too.

“I’ve been using the AI Skin Diagnostic technology in my clinic for some time now. Its accuracy is truly remarkable, but I deliberately chose against implementing some of the Haut.AI-designed elements on RaganSkin.com because I want to keep the process as simple and as impactful as possible for my customers.

“I made sure the technology is as good as it can be to diagnose each user’s unique skin conditions but the prescription of a regimen to tackle those conditions has been curated by me personally.

“It’s a supplement to my expertise which is now so much easier for more people to access.

“The experience is never going to be as reliable as an in-person consultation, but it really is the next best thing and the answer to unlocking clinic results at home,” adds Isabella.

The super-human performance skin analysis technology now implemented on RaganSkin.com works by assessing a selfie against a stringent set of criteria for laboratory-quality analysis of an image.

Hundreds of facial data points using AI models are extracted from the image, before the user is provided with a thorough assessment of their skin’s barrier health, scoring levels of acne, pigmentation, signs of ageing and redness.

The AI Skin Diagnostic feature on RaganSkin.com also includes a multi-spectral analysis that looks at levels of bacteria and goes beneath the skin surface to examine pigment deposits, collagen levels and blood vessels to assess how each of these components affect overall appearance – all within three minutes.

The AI skin diagnosis is then complimented by guided skincare offerings meticulously crafted by Isabella Loneragan via a three-step plan called the Radiance Triad.

With Tolstoy-powered video pop-ups featuring expert advice and education from Isabella Loneragan throughout various pages of the site, the newly introduced Radiance Triad is the culmination of Isabella Loneragan’s extensive in-clinic experience – a major point of difference to the offering of her business competitors.

Each personalised treatment plan curated by Isabella Loneragan comes with her step-by-step guidance on how to maximise the benefits of Ragan Skin product collections or individual products, based on the user’s particular AI Skin Diagnostic results.

Built out of frustration for the lack of result-bearing formulations on the market, paired with the demand of excellence for her clientele, Isabella Loneragan created Ragan Skin in mid-2022.

Incorporating industry-leading and innovative ingredient pairings, Isabella has utilised her background in cosmetic chemistry within the Ragan Skin range. She monitors every step of the products’ formation, working within the lab alongside award-winning pharmacists and cosmetic lab technicians to ensure each formulation is produced to the highest, Ragan Skin standard.

Ragan Skin is proudly Australian made, manufactured, and deliberately designed to treat skin exposed to the harsh Australian climate.

All products within the Ragan Skin range are paraben-free, sulphate-free, contain no synthetic fragrance, no artificial colours, are cruelty-free, vegan (selected products), packaged in medical grade bottles with a calibrated airless pump to guarantee accurate dosage and stop contamination, and are UV protected.
