WEEK 1Stop falling for ransomwareWEEK 2Security best practices – at homeWEEK 3Fight off phishing lures

Hybrid and remote working has made visibility into data, networks and access much harder for most businesses. With employees outside the office and the rapid adoption of hybrid work, it’s not always easy to spot when they fall into bad security habits.

To help your teams meet security best practice while working outside the office, Proofpoint has curated a three-week kit packed with resources and communications.

As well as home working, the kit also provides advice and guidance on avoiding common threats like phishing and ransomware.

Over three weeks, Proofpoint will deliver hints, tips and guidance to help your people steer clear of common threats like ransomware and phishing and meet their security responsibilities when working remotely.

The program also includes emails, articles, infographics, posters and videos designed to help keep security at the top of minds at all times.

Proofpoint says security culture starts with the basics and the three-week program is designed to create good habits and keep cybersecurity at the front of everyone’s minds.

The cybersecurity awareness kit contains a carefully curated selection of resources to show your people how to avoid common threats and meet security best practices – wherever they are.

Over three weeks the cyber security awareness kit will cover:

WEEK 1

Stop falling for ransomware

To kick off awareness the program will teach your users about one of the most common and destructive threats – ransomware. The more they know about ransomware, the better placed they are to keep it at bay.

WEEK 2

Security best practices – at home

Week two’s resources will help employees stick to security best practices when working outside the office. Hybrid and remote working can hamper visibility and has contributed to a marked increase in insider cyber threats in recent years. This week, Proofpint is providing some essential resources to help users stay secure when working from home.

WEEK 3

Fight off phishing lures

Show users how to spot and steer clear of increasingly sophisticated phishing lures in the inbox and beyond. In the third and final week of our Proopoints awareness best practice program, it turns the spotlight on the issue of phishing.

Proofpoint was founded in July 2002 by Eric Hahn, formerly the CTO of Netscape Communications.

It offically launched July 21, 2003, after raising a $7 million Series A funding round, releasing its first product, and lining up six customers as references, and was backed by venture investors.

Its products are designed to solve three business problems: advanced cybersecurity threats, regulatory compliance, and brand-impostor fraud.
