Mimecast Appoints Lizelle Hughes As The New Partner Leader For The ANZ Region

Mimecast has appointed Lizelle Hughes as the Partner Leader for the Australia/New Zealand region, effective September 2, 2024. She joins with a distinguished career spanning over 21 years of experience including leader of the ISV & SaaS Partnerships team at Microsoft Australia and collaborating with software, SaaS and Startup companies.

Lizelle joins Mimecast with a distinguished career spanning over 21 years of experience, marked by significant achievements in technical consultancy, technical pre-sales, product marketing, strategy, sales, technology partnerships and channel.

At Mimecast, she will spearhead incremental partner generated business through resellers, managed service providers, distributors and the company’s tech alliance partners.   

“I’m delighted to step into this new role at Mimecast and contribute to the growth-focused work with valued partners. As technology evolves, it enhances our solutions, and I look forward to working closely with partners to deliver comprehensive offering for our customers,” Hughes said.   

Prior to this role, Lizelle was the leader of the ISV & SaaS Partnerships team at Microsoft Australia collaborating with software, SaaS and Startup companies that are innovating to deliver new products and services.   

Lizelle has worked at Amazon Web Services, NetApp and ManageSoft Corporation. She has helped grow strategic ICT consultancies and their partnerships with AWS, advising on sales, marketing and business growth strategies.

In 2016, Lizelle was Highly Commended by ARN Australia Women in ICT for achievement in the Channel; and again a “Finalist” in 2018.   

She’s passionate about people, their personal growth, mentoring, corporate diversity & inclusion and works towards empowering refugees to settle into Australian society.

She also sits on the Board of Spectrum Migrant Resource Center, serving refugees, migrants and the aged care sector in Melbourne; and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
