Brisbane Mumpreneur and Kiddo founder, Rebecca Dredge, created the innovative service to support and connect early childhood education and care providers with a network of over 12,500 highly qualified professional educators – all in one location and right at their  fingertips.

The digital job platform supports high quality education and care for Australian families,  creating a win-win solution for the industry and peace of mind for parents.

Rebecca said she designed Kiddo for Childcare as a solution to empower the industry and  bridge the gap in qualified staff.

“Kiddo hopes to revolutionise recruitment for the childcare industry, providing a seamless  platform where qualified Kiddo carers are just a click away. No more endless hours of  searching for staff— finding the perfect candidates could be one swipe away,”

“With this  innovative tool, the industry can unlock a new world of opportunities to help build an  exceptional team of dedicated professionals,”

“In addition to aiding centres in discovering and hiring skilled professionals, it serves as an  excellent resource for Kiddo’s network of carers, empowering them to boost their earnings by connecting them with jobs in early learning centres.” she said

After launching Kiddo as a thriving babysitting app three years ago and forging strong  connections in the early childhood education and care sector, Rebecca recognised a  significant need for additional support within the industry.

“Kiddo was driven by the vision of leveraging our incredible network of registered babysitters  and carers to provide the early childhood education and care sector with the supportive  community they truly deserve,” said Dredge

Research reveals the childcare sector has a staggering 11,666 vacant positions (as at 14  June on Seek alone).

Nationally, job turnover amongst early childhood educators and care employees is estimated  to be about 30%.

The widespread impact of this challenge on families is evident nationwide, as a significant  portion (37%) of Australian children under five years face limited accessibility to childcare  services.

Kiddo for Childcare

Approximately one million Australian families are unable to access any childcare options.  Even beyond these areas, families are encountering lengthy waiting lists, extending up to  two years, in their efforts to secure a spot for their child.

How Kiddo for Childcare works:

A business can set up an account at www.kiddoapp.com.au/childcare – Centres post their job role, which then feeds directly to local carers on the Kiddo app – The network of over 12,500 carers can search and find available work, or be notified  of available job roles

Part time and full time roles are posted

Since launching Kiddo in 2019, thousands of parents, babysitters and now childcare centres  have subscribed to the online service to help them manage their child’s and centre’s care  needs.

Kiddo App is an online platform that gives parents more time and freedom by connecting  them with local, verified, affordable babysitters, nannies and carers, instantly.

Kiddo has ranked in the top 20 apps on the App Store and has been recognised with the  following awards:

• Winning the Aus-Mumpreneur Gold Award for Digital Innovation as well as being  named as a finalist for the People’s Choice Award and Emerging Mumpreneur of the  year Award.

• Winning the Greater Brisbane Women in Business Award for Innovation and  Technology Award and becoming a finalist for the Business Excellence Award.
