Using Crunchwork, insurers, customers, and suppliers collaborate in real time for faster, more transparent claims and repairs.

Codafication has partnered with Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Australia and New Zealand’s largest general insurer, to help enhance the property claims experience for customers, suppliers, and insurers.

The partnership will make assist represents a significant step forward in IAG’s digital claims capability from start to finish, using Codafication’s locally built Crunchwork platform to manage the claims lifecycle for IAG’s extensive property claims supply chain.

Property claims in Australia are most commonly for storm and water damage, fire, and theft. Crunchwork automated workflows, providing structured data, and delivering real-time updates across insurers, customers, and suppliers, giving all parties greater visibility and control throughout the claims process.

Crunchwork is a cloud-based platform designed to simplify complex workflows, connecting all stakeholders on a single system and replacing many manual parts of the claims lifecycle with automation and structured data.

As an independent Australian tech company built from the ground up, Codafication represents a growing wave of home-grown innovation in essential industries. Founded in Brisbane, the company develops all of its core platform locally.

Daniel Sandaver, Codafication’s Founder and Managing Director, explains how the development of Crunchwork came about and his drive to make insurance repairs simple.

“After years in insurance claims, I noticed a lack of real-time visibility on claim status with suppliers, forcing teams to chase updates by phone or email, which slowed down the entire rebuild process.”

“We like to call this the ‘triangle of confusion’ because it involves the three main stakeholders, the customer, the insurance carrier, and the supply chain, interacting with the claim,” said Sandaver

“With Crunchwork’s real-time information sharing, the customer will know who’s responsible for which part of the claim and who to go to for clarification,”

“Crunchwork is a project management ecosystem which automates workflows and was created to fix the challenges we saw first-hand in the insurance recovery and claims process,”

“It acts as a control tower for the entire claims process, providing real-time oversight across all stakeholders.”

“By scaling Crunchwork into the business, we are driving better claims outcomes, enhancing customer experience, providing real-time updates delivering both cost and time efficiencies,”

“Through our partnership, IAG can focus on improved system controls and consistent supplier management, providing the best possible experience for their clients while modernising their claims supply chain operating model.” he said.

IAG Executive Manager of Property Fulfilment Scott Linsday said, “By integrating our supplier network into Crunchwork, we are creating a single source of truth for every claim,”

“Suppliers, assessors, and IAG teams alike will see the same real-time information—repair schedules, scope updates, and progress milestones— creating a seamless customer journey.” said Linsday

Codafication remains self-funded and has grown into a trusted technology partner for insurers, builders and suppliers across Australia. Its products include Crunchwork, the Unity development framework and Virtual Assist for remote assessments.
