Leading data science and engineering consultancy, Eliiza, has officially launched a new Data and Analytics division under former Quantium and Oliver Wyman executive, Emma Bromet. Emma is supported by 16 recent hires, with plans to almost double the team’s size by the end of the financial year in response to growing demand for data strategy experts.

Eliiza’s trans-Tasman team has in its short history seen great success across a broad range of projects for clients including Kmart, ANZ, Belong and IAG. Ms Bromet is an Arts graduate from the UK who began her career in data & analytics as a junior analyst at Kantar Worldpanel. Since then, Emma has become a leader in her field, supporting major brands across the UK, Asia, Australia and US to embed advanced analytics and smarter decision making across their businesses. Backed by Eliiza’s parent company Mantel Group to work remotely from her home in Byron Bay, Emma will be charged with growing the team and supporting organisations to operationalise their data assets.

““There are a group of companies who know that data is a strategic asset but are under-invested and need help operationalising it. There are others who are more advanced in their thinking but need help in a particular area. The division has been set up to bridge the gap between data science and business,” Emma says.

“We don’t just send our clients two data analysts to solve a problem. We’re interested in the human aspect of data. You can replace tools and technology, but if you can’t win hearts and minds, nothing will change. We identify the problem and help organisations build a data roadmap,” she adds.

Mantel Group earned top spot on the Great Place to Work list in 2021. The consultancy currently has around 150 open roles across its seven brands and is actively recruiting across A/NZ. To further attract the best talent, Mantel Group recently established five new workplace ‘hubs’ including a workspace on Queensland’s Magnetic Island, responding to employee demand created by the pandemic for ongoing flexibility and greater lifestyle choices.

Emma Bromet is looking to hire consultants from a variety of backgrounds to Eliiza’s Data and Analytics division, with diversity in hiring a major focus for the business.

“We are a very diverse team including over 50 percent women. We are looking to hire people with great relationship and strategy skills who will be excellent problem solvers for our clients,” she says.
