Clients looking to tap into insights locked away in customer conversations

Mantel Group, through its data, analytics, and machine learning brand, Eliiza, has acquired Brisbane based machine learning as a service provider, otso.ai. otso.ai will come under the brand title of Eliiza, which is one of eight brands that sit within consulting business, Mantel Group.

otso.ai specialises in the enrichment and analysis of unstructured text data at scale, using state of the art natural language processing and artificial intelligence technologies.

Founded in 2017, otso.ai has delivered high quality machine learning and software deployments across a range of Australian enterprise and government clients spanning financial services, retail, healthcare, professional services and local and state government.

This complimentary partnership brings two talented co-founders of otso.ai, Samuel Irvine Casey and Sam Gaunt to Eliiza. Samuel has more than seven years of experience leading the development and implementation of machine learning solutions for enterprise and government clients.

Samuel says, “Both Sam and I are stoked about joining Eliiza given its strong reputation for machine learning and artificial intelligence, delivering cutting edge solutions for its clients’ problems. We are also proud to be joining an organisation that is aligned with us on artificial intelligence ethics, having a voice on the topic and ensuring it never compromises on this value.”

CEO of Eliiza, James Wilson says: “Many of Eliiza’s clients are looking to tap into insights locked away in customer conversations including emails, contact centre calls, and social media. Samuel and Sam have built a fantastic product in otso that we believe really complements Eliiza’s offerings. In addition, Samuel and Sam bring a wealth of machine learning experience to our team that will uplift our consulting and product development capabilities.”

Eliiza has grown from 40 to 85 team members in the past 12 months, expanding its talent pool across data science, data analytics, data engineering, machine learning and product development. Eliiza’s deep expertise in data, analytics and machine learning, combined with Mantel Group’s cloud, digital and design capabilities, provides clients with a fully integrated suite of technology services that are unrivalled in the Australian and New Zealand market.
