Chronoforge, a multiplayer action RPG built on Immutable X, is making waves with over 90,000 gamers signing up for its first competitive season.

We caught up with Westy, the CTO of Minted Loot Studios and the mastermind behind Chronoforge, to dive into the story of this game that’s capturing the gaming community’s attention.

Westy’s journey to Chronoforge is anything but ordinary. With over a decade of experience as a software developer, he began his career creating mobile apps and even spent time doing DNA analysis for the British Police.

His resume also includes stints at Pepsi and Saudi Aramco, where he developed AR/VR applications. But it was the world of crypto that truly captivated him, leading to his recruitment by Minted Loot Studios to help develop a larger brand beyond just games.

One of Minted Loot Studios’ current projects, Mind Tome, is set to revolutionize gaming with AI-enhanced world-building. The software allows developers to create interactive AAA game content faster, using AI to scale creativity, draft game bibles, and generate lore-consistent content.

Imagine a game where quests aren’t pre-programmed, but dynamically generated by an AI, creating NPCs that seem to have minds of their own.

Chronoforge, the studio’s flagship game, showcases the power of Mind Tome.

The free-to-play multiplayer action RPG blends traditional gaming with crypto and NFTs, allowing players to hack through randomised dungeons while engaging in collaborative base building and crafting economies. Whether you’re into crypto or not, Chronoforge has something for everyone.

The game has been closely tied with Immutable X since its inception, being one of the first projects built on the platform back in 2021.

Immutable X’s gas-free transactions and rapid NFT drops are a perfect fit for Chronoforge, where on-chain loot is constantly being earned. In their latest drop, using Immutable X’s ZK EVM chain, 90,000 passes were minted.

Westy’s love for gaming began with Runescape, where he first discovered the concept of digital economies. Seeing how NFTs could bring digital value to decentralised games convinced him of the immense potential of crypto in gaming, offering players a way to monetise their time spent in-game.

Chronoforge’s in-game economy will revolve around the $RIFT token, which will be used to mint NFTs, trade items, and reward outstanding gameplay.

As players collect items, they can choose to mint them as NFTs, with the cost in $RIFT rising as the supply increases. Players can also burn multiple NFTs to create more powerful ones, adding a strategic layer to the game.

The hard work and dedication to delivering a top-tier gaming experience haven’t gone unnoticed. Chronoforge has attracted a roster of investors including 369 Capital, Citizen Capital, and Contange, along with strategic advisors like Brian D. Evans, EllioTrades, Alex Becker, and Faze Banks.

The game’s community has been buzzing with excitement, with its Twitter following skyrocketing from 80,000 to nearly 400,000 in a short span of time. To stay updated on the latest from Chronoforge, follow @playchronoforge on X.
