Speedmaster, a manufacturer and distributor of automotive components in Australia, has chosen Oracle NetSuite to expand its reach and supply high-performance aftermarket car parts to a larger global audience.

Speedmaster was established in Sydney in 1979 under the name Petes Performance. As a family-owned enterprise, it has grown to be a worldwide producer and assembler of high-performance engine components, with over 500 workers stationed at its facilities in Sydney, Los Angeles, and Shanghai.

By utilising NetSuite, Speedmaster has integrated its ecommerce, financial management, planning, merchandising, and supply chain processes into a single business system. As a result, the company can provide a seamless omnichannel experience to its customers.

Speedmaster CEO Jason Kencevski says, “Our family has worked hard for over 40 years to build a brand based on high-quality automotive parts and good service, and we didnt want to compromise that in any way.

“The technology that drives our business is vital to our success and we need our processes to work efficiently and effectively,”

“We tried Magento and SAP, but they were unable to meet our needs and thats why we have standardised on NetSuite. Howerver, NetSuite and SuiteCommerce, weve integrated our financials, inventory and ecommerce operations and now have a single source of truth which helps us make faster and better decisions,”

Speedmaster’s online store provides almost two million SKUs worldwide, necessitating the consolidation of its financial, inventory, and ecommerce systems to enhance efficiency and provide accurate information to its expanding customer base.

In order to meet this requirement and offer a smooth, real-time cross-channel experience, Speedmaster chose to replace its current SAP and Magento systems with NetSuite.

Speedmaster claims that NetSuite has provided it with visibility and control over its operations, allowing it to satisfy and surpass the demands of its expanding customer base.

With NetSuite, Speedmaster has streamlined inventory management, accelerated financial and inventory planning, and implemented an integrated omnichannel strategy by linking its online store with its inventory, financial, and warehouse management systems.

Moreover, through NetSuite SuiteCommerce, Speedmaster can provide its customers with up-to-date information on product availability and deliveries by accessing real-time inventory data resulting in increased efficiency and better customer service, as reconciling figures when a customer contacts the company is no longer necessary.

General Manager Australia and New Zealand, Oracle NetSuite Scott Wiltshire says businesses need every advantage they can get in today’s economy and cant afford to have a subpar customer experience.

“With NetSuite, Speedmaster can use real-time data to assist with increasing efficiency and productivity across every part of its business enabling Speedmaster to focus on strategy, innovation, and continuous product improvement and continue to provide an excellent experience for its customers,” he said.

By utilising NetSuite as the central point for all physical store, online, marketplace, and warehouse data, Speedmaster has also streamlined it’s order management and gained a more extensive perspective across its operations.
