Accenture has appointed Andrew J.P. Levy to the new position of Chief Corporate and Government Affairs Officer.

Levy will lead the company’s geopolitical strategic analysis and global government relations efforts, as well as a global network of external strategists and advisers in this area.

Prior to working for Accenture, Levy worked as the company’s general counsel for Growth Markets, based in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Levy has been with Accenture for more than 10 years, serving as its general counsel. Prior to Accenture, Levy held other regional and global legal positions for the company.

He was also an attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York and Washington, D.C., serving as deputy general counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Joel Unruch, general counsel and corporate secretary at Accenture says assessing geopolitical trends and working effectively with governments and thought leaders around the world has never been more important.

“Andrew’s international experience and political and legal background make him perfectly suited for this new and extremely important role.” said Unruch

Accenture is a global professional services company with leading capabilities in digital, cloud and security combining unmatched experience and specialized skills across more than 40 industries

Levy, who is based in Chicago will work closely with the company’s Board of Directors as well as the Global Management Committee members, in addition to reporting directly to Unruch.
