Telstra offers global network infrastructure further enabling growing suite of F5 Distributed cloud services.

F5’s (NASDAQ: FFIV) partnership with Telstra spans 20 years, as F5 provides critical application security across the company’s IT and telco operations and for its customers and partners.

Telstra is Australia’s leading telecommunications company supporting a diverse range of customers with heavy traffic volume that include consumers, small and large enterprises, and government organisations.

F5 security and application delivery services have been key components of Telstra’s network infrastructure solutions. They help customers realise these benefits and increase their resilience, speed, reliability and security.

The partnership has also opened up new opportunities for more comprehensive solutions that simplify operations and digitalize organisations.

F5 is now able to operate high-volume, secure PoPs (points of presence) in strategic locations around the world thanks to this partnership enabling customers to quickly deploy top-of-the-line application security and DDoS capabilities.

Additionally, more PoPs allow customers to offer additional services to customers and end users, which in turn creates incremental revenue opportunities.

F5 has been able to navigate the challenges of building a network that is low latency, high available, and with physical path diversity.

Telstra’s international network, as well as its infrastructure throughout Asia Pacific, technical agility, regional knowledge, and technical expertise have all helped it achieve this best-in-class status.

Combining F5’s visions for adaptive apps and Telstra’s visions for an adaptive networking will open up new markets in Asia Pacific, USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Adam Judd, senior vice president for APCJ, F5 says the partnership demonstrates our ongoing investment into the Asia Pacific region as we continue delivering high value services and solutions to our partners and customers.

“The Asia Pacific region can present a unique set of challenges, and F5’s deep expertise and industry-leading platform agnostic integration capabilities combined with Telstra’s consultative approach, in-depth market analysis, and expansive data has enabled us to establish highly resilient infrastructure supporting F5 Distributed Cloud Services.” said Judd

F5 will continue to support customers in partnership with Telstra. This includes the largest companies, service providers, financial institutions, education institutions, government agencies, and consumer brands of Asia Pacific. F5 will create, secure, and optimise applications across 4G/5G network cores, data centers, cloud and edge environments.

Organisations’ digital transformations–along with the adoption of hybrid and multi-cloud technologies–have accelerated in recent years. F5 has made strategic acquisitions to provide partners and customers with additional software and platform-based services that focus on API security, bot protection and edge computing.
