Orbic®, a US-based mobility products company has today made its debut in Australia with the launch of the Orbic® TAB8 4G on Telstra prepaid and the Orbic® TAB10R 4G.

The company, underpinned by its vision of keeping users connected 24/7 with meaningful features and benefits, makes its devices available to value-conscious consumers at attractive price points.

The Orbic® TAB8 4G is a handy 8-inch tablet with an HD TFT display. It features 4GX data speeds on Telstra’s far-reaching 4G network, long battery life and fast battery recharge with Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 2.0

“We’re incredibly excited to launch the Orbic® TAB8 4G with Australia’s largest carrier Telstra and the Orbic® TAB10R 4G with Smartmatic.” said Danny Adamopoulos, EVP Global Strategy and Operations, Orbic®.

“This is the beginning of many new 4G and 5G products that we will be bringing to Australian consumers and businesses,”

“We are a disruptor brand that puts the consumer’s needs at the heart of our product design, and we offer devices that encompass our core value of delivering meaningful features and experiences, combined with responsible sourcing of materials and supporting local business mantra.” said Adamopoulos

The company is also announcing the availability of the Orbic® TAB10R 4G in partnership with Smartmatic.

A powerful, 10” ruggedised tablet with an HD TFT display and stylus support, the Orbic® TAB10R 4G lets you take on the day’s tasks with confidence, featuring a long battery life and fast battery recharge with Quick Charge™ 2.0.

Smartmatic is a multinational company that designs and deploys technological solutions aimed at helping governments deliver efficient, transparent elections for their citizens. The Orbic® TAB10R 4G tablets will be deployed in upcoming elections.

Spiros Nikolakopoulos, Director of Smartmatic Australia, said, “We selected the Orbic® TAB10R 4G as it provided the battery life, performance, and ruggedness essential to delivering solutions to our government customers. Combined with the Smartmatic suite of elections software, it delivers an industry leading solution.”

To support the local launch of the brand and provide Aussies with a great customer experience, Orbic® has partnered with Roadhound Electronics, Australia’s longest operating and largest privately owned national distributor and service provider of mobile phones and tablets.

Founded in 1985, Roadhound delivers state of the art, secure and reliable end-to-end supply chain solutions to some of the world’s most iconic brands.

Locally based in Newcastle, Australia, housing a custom-built distribution centre and highly accredited level 3 service centre, Roadhound will offer a complete end-to-end customer support solution as well as product distribution for Orbic® in Australia.
