Coles Launches New Technology Recruitment Campaign

Coles makes it easy for parents, carers and entrepreneurs to pursue and advance their careers in technology by launching an exciting program for new talent.

Relauncher is designed to support those looking to return to a career in technology with Coles after period of parental leave, care, entrepreneurship or further education. After successfully completing six monthly program, team members will be guaranteed a permanent position with Coles.

The first promotion of the program will create up to 15 new jobs, with roles such as project manager, delivery Roles of manager, senior business analyst, product manager and agile coach.

CTO John Cox said Coles acknowledged that professionals who have long absences face a number of problems when trying to return to work.

“The market for technological talent is more competitive than ever, thus offering multiple avenues and opportunities. which draw on a wide range of talented professionals is an important part of Coles’ Better Together strategy to attract and retain talent, ”he said.

“Our goal is to effectively provide support, flexibility and upskilling to help our participants with an enjoyable and productive transition back to the technology career they love.

“This is a key part of our commitment to building a well-rounded cohort of diverse team members and supporting career paths for our employees so that they can develop in technology. “

The program will create a new talent pipeline for our business, to complement our Graduate and Industry-based apprenticeships and standard hiring processes.

Portfolio Manager Hayley Corcoran has been on the technical team for 20 years in a variety of roles. “I am very fortunate to work in an environment that has truly adapted to flexible working,” she said.

“Coles technology to support flexible working has allowed me to focus on my career, without the additional pressures resulting from managing family life. I have access to excellent mentors, both male and feminine and I have a great team around me, this gives me the confidence and the ability to balance my work and my family life ”.
